Saint Patrick's Day Kid's Craft: Rainbow


Here is an easy rainbow craft for the preschoolers.How to decorate for saint Patrick's day.

Remember ROYGBIV

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

Materials Needed:-

White Card stock or white paper
Color pencils/markers/crayons
Scissors
Pencil
Beads/Gold Colored flowers
Glitter
Glue
Cotton

Instructions:-

Take a White card stock.Cut the White card stock into semi circle.
Then draw the arcs of the rainbow.
{This is where having a compass would have been handy!}
Then Paint or colour your rainbow. Let dry.
Decorate the rainbow with glitters or gold colored flowers or You can stamp a clover using the end of a pencil eraser or You can also add beads.
Glue "clouds"or cotton balls onto bottom of rainbow and enjoy!

Thankful Turkey Craft



This easy Thankful turkey craft is a great for school children .This cute construction paper turkey lists what your child is thankful for. It makes a very nice Thanksgiving decoration.My Daughter made this for thanksgiving in her class.

Materials needed:

    * Construction papers
    * Turkey template
    * Scissors
    * Glue stick
    * Markers
   

How to make your Paper Turkey Craft:

    * Cut a brown construction paper circle or oval (about 8 inches across) for the turkey's body.

    * Print the template of  head ,wattle, legs and cut out the pieces. Trace the template pieces onto construction paper and cut the pieces out.

    * Glue the head to the body.Glue a tiny yellow or orange triangle for the beak and little red blob for the wattle.Either draw eyes with black marker or glue on googly eyes.

    * Glue the legs to the body.

    * For feathers cut six long ovals -use colourful papers if you like.

    * On each oval/ feather , write: "I am thankful for ______".Have the child write what they are thankful for.

    * Glue the feathers to the back of the turkey's body .

    * Don't forget to write the child's name on the turkey.

Tree with Pencil Shavings



Materal :-

A4 sheet paper or any chart paper
Pencil
Pencil Sharpner
Markers
Crayons
Glue

Method:-

1) Sharp the pencils.While Sharpening try not to break the pencil shavings.The fuller the shavings the prettier tree will be there.
2) Make pencil shavings and glue it to the shape of tree.
3) Draw the trunk of the tree and grass with markers or crayons.
4) Then  draw the clouds and birds with crayons to give natural look.

Lovely tree with pencil shavings is ready.

We can either frame it or make cute greeting card.

Craft with Pencil Shavings : Flowers


Materials Required:-

A4 sheet paper or any chart paper
Glue
Pencils
Pencil Sharpener
Markers
crayons

Steps to be followed:-

While Sharpening try not to break the pencil shavings.The fuller the shavings the prettier flowers will be there.

1) Draw flowers with the pencil.
2) For flowers ,make pencil shavings and glue it to the shape of flowers.
3) Draw Stem and Leaves with markers OR You can also use green paper cutouts for stems and leaves.
4) Then decorate the flowers with colour markers.

We can either frame it or make cute greeting card.
